Welcome to May! The official start to deck and patio season. Whether you’re planning a deck, patio – or maybe even both, your outside space is just as important as inside – especially during the warm spring and summer months.
Who doesn’t love spending time reading, enjoying a cup of coffee, barbecuing, entertaining, and just simply enjoying the outdoors? Timber Block has a few deck designs, plus patio ideas to help give you an idea of what may be perfect for your new home!
Timber Block deck designs:
These are straight from our home owners, or model homes. Because Timber Block homes are made of engineered wood, outdoor space is very important to our customers – they love the beauty of wood, and most have built their dream cottage or log home in a space perfect for enjoying splendid views and comforting locations.
This Timber Block home owner has so many places to enjoy the outdoors, with the deck up top to enjoy coffee right outside their door, to a large patio down below. The additional stone patio farther from the home ensures some peaceful alone time!
Plenty of our home owners prefer to have a walk out deck!
The following custom home was built with plenty of patio space to add all sorts of room to enjoy.
Common in many Timber Block homes, is a deck with railings throughout almost the entire length of home. Add a few lounge chairs, and enjoy the sunrise/sunset every morning/evening!
The following photo is from a Timber Block Contemporary home. This is outdoor living space, something most of our contemporary owners choose to have.
A covered walk out patio will always make sure you can enjoy some outside time – without worrying about the elements like rain, bugs, or critters!
As you can see, many people choose wood for their perfect deck, or concrete for their patios. Like wood that you can stain to the color you choose, concrete also can be stained. Here’s an example of an outdoor patio/kitchen before and after the concrete was stained:
