With Christmas over, and New Year’s around the corner, many people are enjoying extra days off! Some of you may even have up to a couple of weeks off. And for those who have enjoyed the company of friends and family, or maybe you were busy traveling, the next few days may be the perfect “down time” days!

So, what are your plans? This may be the perfect time for you to start digging in deeper towards planning your dream home.

Where to start?

While it may feel like there’s a lot to do to get started on your dream home plans, you can make this initial planning time a relaxing and enjoyable experience! This is a good time to start getting ideas for your dream home. That may mean looking at photos of homes, or maybe floor plans. You could also use your holiday time off to walk through some model home hours (See our holiday hours through New Year’s down below). Some of the best dream homes come from photos of models, stock plans or currently lived in dream homes!

Even before you start your dream home plans, you likely already have your own style. For example, at Timber Block, we have 3 different series of homes – homes for the Contemporary lover, homes for those who want a Vintage home, and homes for those who are looking to build a home that fits the Classic log home bill.

With your time off, here are some easy-to-get-to links to kick-start your dream home plans!
