“Sensitive Santa” and his Timber Block log cabin have once again gained national attention.
Santa has been visiting with Toronto and area children all season long, and has now become known as “Sensitive Santa”. This is because Santa is trained with dealing with autistic children, and it’s made an incredible difference!
CBC recently featured Santa and his Timber Block log cabin, set up at the Toronto Eaton Centre.
“Every child is different with autism. Some come in, they sit down, others come in and sit on my lap,” says Santa. “Others have different approaches, and their parents approach it differently too.”
“If I see that they (the children) want affection, I hug them. If I see that they want me to stay back, I stay back.”

While many children were able to visit Santa in his log cabin on a drop in basis (there were even drop in days for people to have their furbabies have pictures with Santa!) parents were also able to reserve personal times to have their children spend time with Santa.
We are very pleased we were able to play a part in making this holiday season special for children!
Santa’s Timber Block log cabin was built just the same as all of our homes. It’s equipped with R-30 wall insulation, ensuring Santa and the children who spent time with him felt warm and cozy all season long.
Thank you to everyone who visited Santa in his Timber Block log cabin!
