When you are part of a company like Timber Block Insulated Log homes – a company that makes dreams come true – literally – it is an absolutely joy. Seeing how Timber Block home owners react when they first sign off on their floor plan, which is such a huge step, or when they finally picked the perfect piece of land, or watching their face when the delivery truck turns into what will be their driveway, watching tears of joy as they physically see the walls of their dream home go up, and then hearing about them living in the home they have always wanted. This is the most satisfying part of being involved with something so wonderful!

In this blog, this is a testimonial from a Timber Block log home home owner. Read on, and hear just how her home has changed her life.

“I’d like to tell you the story of how I fell in love with my Timber Block home.

It all started in October 2009 in the wake of some very challenging times in my personal life. My four children and I needed to find a new place to live. I decided to visit 9 turn key builders, as I just didn’t have it in me to undertake the process of building a house on my own, and I didn’t want to live in an apartment.

I first looked at your models on the Internet, and then made my way to a model home with my mother. After our visit, I was overcome by such a feeling of elation… it was as though I had just been shown the way to get through this difficult period in my life. It took every ounce of self-control I could muster to keep from shouting with joy in my car.

Still, I had doubts; so I continued my visits with 6 other turn key companies to find out what was available out there on the market, but no other model, no matter how beautiful, managed to capture my heart the way yours did.

I had turned to family members for help in finding a small piece of land by a river where I could build my dream home. They found this little piece of heaven, which I purchased in December 2009.

By the end of the month, I stopped running around and started looking more closely at the models I had seen thus far. Yours was the one that I had fallen in love with, no doubt about it. This beautiful, adorable little log home was “the one.”

Taking a leap of faith, I went back by myself to have another look at your model home, and then went to see another model. I needed to find out whether I would be as overwhelmed as the first time, and to tell you the truth, my heart almost skipped a beat just walking up to the front door. The sales consultant, was absolutely wonderful. He gave me all the answers I needed. I went back to my car to do some thinking; I could feel my heart racing, and I started screaming with joy. I went back inside to sign a purchase contract.

What a surge of emotions for the 2009 holiday season, and what a Christmas present! For me, this was a new beginning, the proof that life was worth living to its full extent. I was so proud of my purchase!

The shovel hit the ground for the first time four months later, at the end of April 2010. For the entire duration of the building process, I had settled into a tiny cottage of about 12’ x 12’, a mere 10 feet from the site to watch my new home take shape before my very eyes, spurred on by this feeling that life had shown me the path to a new beginning; a cozy place to call home where I would enjoy the company of my children, friends and family.

I’ve lost count of all the times I’ve awakened to the sound of the birds chirping, a glimpse of the Canada geese gliding over the river, a sighting of Bamby, the young deer that pays me a visit once in a while, and all the people who have walked into my warm, wonderful home, and exclaimed: “WOW.”

My children are now grown-up and independent, but they visit me on the weekends. I absolutely adore my Timber Block home; it’s my oasis of peace and renewal, and it gives me great pride to talk about it.

Thank you for your passion for beauty and nature. Keep up your excellent work!”
