Today, we want to talk specifically about the benefits of prefab homes, and how the building industry has not only accepted this way of building, but believes and endorses it.

Take a look at the following article found on www.probuilder.com: It talks about how prefab homes being the “secret to green building”.

Here are a few lines from the article:

Factory production means modular green buildings are better sealed against draughts, which in conventional buildings can account for 15-25% of winter heat loss.

And factories also have better quality control systems, leading to improved insulation placement and better energy efficiency. Good insulation cuts energy bills by up to half compared to uninsulated buildings.

The walls of each Timber Block home are constructed inside our quality controlled factory. The high quality wood is cut and sanded, insulated (with R-30 insulation – standard in every Timber Block home), pre-stained by hand, stacked, bonded and thru-bolted in our factory. Window areas are prepared and protected, and the finished walls are stacked on a truck and delivered to the building site.

The wall delivery happens mere hours before the wall raising – another Timber Block benefit, in every effort to protect your beautiful brand new wood walls.

Timber Block Prefab Homes goes even farther. Thanks to our system building process – created and exclusive to Timber Block – any floor plan is able to be modified. Timber Block builds full custom as well.
