When building a home with wood, whether it’s a more contemporary design, vintage, or more classic and traditional, there are many options for wood stain colors. Stain is one of the most important decisions you’ll make when choosing the actual “look” of your wood home.

Timber Block offers many choices when it comes to stain. Keep in mind, we pre-stain each and every log (by hand) in our factory before your logs are stacked and bonded together. However, you will also stain your wood home within a few months after construction, and about every 5 years after that. (This is about the only maintenance you will have when building a Timber Block home – something you can’t get away without doing when building with wood.)

When choosing your wood stain colors, there are so many options. You have both the exterior and interior walls. Some choose to go with a lighter stain on the inside and outside, some will choose a lighter stain on the inside, and have a darker stain inside, or as you can see in some of these photos, some people will mix it up, and use different stain colors to give it a classy contrast.

Also, some people will choose to stain their interior walls a certain color, then a their beams and frames another color, but then add some drywall too!
