In a recent blog post, we asked you to send in questions you would like answered here on our Timber Block blog, and one of them had to do with…windows!
It’s actually a question we are asked a lot. Our customers certainly want to know, and of course care about the windows that will be installed in their new dream home.
First…the process. When the logs of your home are bonded and stacked in our factory, the window areas are cut out, and the area is securely sealed. The windows are shipped separately, and installed once the wall raising happens.
Our windows are low E argon filled 20 year windows, to ensure high energy efficiency. Low E insulating glass ensures greater visible light transmittance than tinted glass.
In addition to the windows we use, the placement of your windows is very important. Windows will set the ambience of your home. Our designers will work with you to make sure to discuss the number of windows, size, and placement!
Along with making sure each and every home we build is beautiful, energy efficiency is our top priority. We thrive on making sure our home owners enjoy lower energy bills than traditionally built home. We also love the fact our home owners can save money, but also feel good in their home – our homes are warm and cozy in the cooler months, and pleasant and cool during the summer months.
