Timber Block Testimonial: Watch as Dave & Mary Take You Through Their Lakefront Dream Home

Dave and Mary Pearson are the proud owners of one of the most beautiful lakefront homes we’ve built. Located in gorgeous Muskoka, there is no question anyone would call this a dream home! The Pearson’s absolutely love their new place - and we were lucky enough to be invited to tour their home, and so we asked them a few questions along the way.

We asked Mary how she would describe her experience with Timber Block and she said everything was very professional… and fast! “Especially compared to other people building around us, we were so fast!”

As Mary begins to walk us through the home, we asked her what design elements were important to them, and she said plenty of space was a must. “We wanted to make sure we had room to host our family, their families and their friends and have lots of gatherings.”

Dave went on to say another main factor was the view. “We wanted to make sure each of the main bedrooms had views to the water.”

The Timber Block Team was curious to find out if there were other features they wanted to stand out, and Dave pointed out the “Muskoka” room! “We wanted to show off the access to the lake. This was added so we could come in here and feel we were even more outside while being inside away from the mosquitos, play games and enjoy nature.”

We asked the couple if they received any advice on what to do to make their space stand out, and Mary said “if you want to stand out, you have to be outstanding!”

As the Pearson’s take us down to their dock to feel what it’s like to live in such a fabulous place, we asked Mary where her love of water comes from. Mary says she grew up on an island and always loved being on the water. Mary adds the fun doesn’t stop when the weather turns cold! “Our favorite thing to do is get up in the morning and go for a cold plunge - and sometimes, we even have to cut the ice! In fact, sometimes I can do it myself and sometimes Dave has to do it because it’s so thick!”
